I close my eyes and I see you
A shimmering silhouette that blinds me
How can I meet you?
When will I become you?
Life has tested me, shredded my confidence
Given me little to no reason to continue at all
And yet, I am still here
Wanting to reach you, to be you
My body is tired, and my spirit is beat
Help! I beg you, please lend a hand to me
How can I go on?
In shame, with drive, as front
For the first time, I see your face
It is my own, not better nor improved
But exactly as I am today
Thank you, for showing yourself to me
